Game Summary:
Indian Village and Weapons Stockpiles
The board was laid out with the Indian village and Indian Burial Mound at one end (top) separated from the balance of the board by a small stream.  The majoriity of the table was very hilly and heavily forested.  The board was about 6x8 with a road weaving between hills down the center, in the long direction.
The Indians set up along the stream.  The Shaman posted on the burial mound.  The gunmen arrayed themselves  in 3 separate groups at the opposite end.
As the action started one gunmen group moved up the center as did the Automatons taking advantage of road bonus.  The other gunen group move up the right side.  Meanwhile the Indians crossed the river seeking high ground to defend overlooking their village.  The Shaman summons his forces.
The first action occured when Indian forces revealed themselves in the center and took fire from the gattling rifles of the Automatons.  Using popup attacks the Indians managed to damage one Automaton but was reduced to one figure that insisted on passing his morale checks.

The gunmen depoyed on the right and left flanks and fired on the Indans and Undead.  The Undead used a wooded hill  to great advantage pouring fire down on the gunmen.  The Undead proved to be tough customers and the gunmen fell back.  The Indians on the right flank suffered heavy casualties but passed morale and held the flank.
Not to be detered the previously surviving Indian scampered through the woods (Terrain Specialist) and lept upon an unsuspecting Automaton.  Poor in close combat the Automaton suffered some injury from hand to hand.  Observing this turn of fortune the remaining Indians in the center engaged the Automatons in close combat negating their superior gattling gun firepower.
The Shaman and his Undead forces continued to press the right flank pouring fire upon exposed Automatons reducing their numbers and eventually destroying them.
Having dispatched the Indian forces on the left flank the gunmen targeted the Shaman taking him out leaving the "Mindless" Undead with only a few able to pursue the remaining gunmen on the left flank as they eventually made it to the village  putting the Indian stockpile of guns and ammo to the torch.

Kevin Smith's variant worked amazingly well as did many new abilities simulating  all aspects of the Weird West from a Shaman commanding Undead Indians to  a Professor and his Gattling gun wielding Automatons; from "Sneaky" Indians with "Terrain Specialist" to "Missile Resistant" Indian Skeletons.
The Automatons suffered from "Glitches" while the "Mindless" Skeletons and Zombies lost their effectiveness when the Shaman was killed; as few could pass a required morale test to pursue the Gunmen trying to enter the Village.

A really great variant.  I would encourage anyone who has played Ares and have a few Cowboy figs in their collections to take them out and have a go at this really cool genre.
