Majestic Twelve Online
Online versions of Majestic Twelve's popular family of games using the Vassal Game Engine
Brief Description: Online Games uses the Vassal Gameplay engine to facilitate realtime, interatctive gameplay between one or more players.  Players use  a shared game module and their home or office pc's to manupulate pieces on a game map as if they were sitting next to each other.
Typical Functionalities:
-  Move individual counters or stacks across the hex map
-  Rotate counters to any hex side quickly and easlily
-  Chat and die roll within a dedicated dialog box
-  Render counters invisible to the opposing player
-  Design scenarios and ship sets to share with other players
-  Easily pick counters and markers from counter trays during gameplay
-  Use as LOS thread showing distance between counters
-  Counter image changes to reflect effects of combat on counters
-  Editable Spreadsheet pop up for counters showing stats/damage
-  Private window and order counter for writing orders
-  Games can be saved and players reconvened at a later date
-  Gamemoves/games can be log filed to share offline
-  Hexes are numbered for easy reference
-  Notes window for adding scenario information or special rules info
-  Gamefile can be used offline/stand alone for Solo play/scenario design
Requirements to  play: Players must download the Vassal Game Engine from the Vassal support site and the MJ 12 game module file (.mod).  Once downloaded and installed players simply need to sync into the Vassal Site Game Server, setup a gaming area and share a game module.  Since there is no Artificial Intelligence players must own copies of the rules to play and adjudicate between themselves any altercations of the rules.
Counter Sets:  Counters can be created using any typical "paint" program, saved as gif files and imported into the game.  Several ship sets have been created to represent a variety of ship designs.  "Custom" sets can be created and shared between players.  Markers are also included to represent fixed objects used during the game or conditional effects the counter is currently suffering from.
